History

The Myanmar Medical Association is the only professional body of medically qualified doctors in Myanmar.

It is a non-governmental organization which operates on its own budget generated from its activities and membership fees. The MMA was founded in 1949.

Today it has over 8000 members it has a total of 80 branches throughout the country. All the specialities are represented in the MMA as Speciality Societies which total 26 in number.

Goals
